Length and Weight
The ULTRA injection hose is normally supplied in 50-meter coils. Standard accessories are generously included with each coil and packaged in a practical, user-friendly manner.
Weight per 50-meter coil is approximately 12 kg.
Dimensions and Cutting
Measure the required hose length. Remember to allow for any tightening or shrinkage of 4–6 cm per meter. To prevent the braided sleeve from unraveling and the hose from being damaged, THE HOSE MUST BE SECURELY TAPED ON BOTH SIDES of the cutting point. Cut the hose using suitable scissors or a knife.
Feed Hose
Insert the feed hose at least 25 mm into the injection hose (use a lubricant if necessary). The “ears” of the hose clamp must be positioned
parallel to the side on which the hose rests. Tighten the clamp gradually and alternately using end-cutting pliers (rebar tying pliers), ensuring that the “ears” are not compressed flat.
Feed hose length: 40–50 cm, or as required.
Tensioning Clips
Tensioning clips are most easily installed from the underside of the hose. Insert the hooks of the tensioning clip into the “ears” of the hose clamp.
NOTE!
ULTRA performs just as effectively without tensioning. However, tensioning improves contact with the substrate and makes installation easier.
Use of Polyurethane
If polyurethane (PUR) is to be used, it is advantageous for the inside of the ULTRA hose to be dry. Melt the ends of the feed hoses over an open flame and pinch them closed.
ULTRA hoses can be butt-jointed using cyanoacrylate adhesive (super glue). The ends must be neatly taped and cut smooth and square. Apply adhesive across the entire end surface. Cover the joint with tape.
